First state examination

The first state examination

19 children from our school took part in the first state examination. Only those who pass this exam are promoted to 6th grade. 11 of the 19 children passed the exam. We congratulate the children and wish them continued success.

Sewing for Madagascar

We sew for Madagascar!

Grit and Astrid worked diligently at their sewing machines and sewed 125 pencil cases. As a reward for completing the school year, each child will receive a pencil case with contents.

Solar lamps

Solar lamps light our way!

Five sponsors have donated solar lamps and simple mobile phones to their sponsored children. This is particularly useful as it gets dark at 6 p.m. in Madagascar and the lamps now enable the children to study or read in the evenings.

water well construction

We want to build a well

Our next major project is the construction of a well. Tahina has invited three well construction companies to assess the current situation, provide a cost estimate and carry out future maintenance on site. We already have a sponsor supporting us in this project.
