We help both children and teachers through our training programmes. Qualified teachers from Tana show the teachers at our school how to teach most effectively and better support the children.
Holiday season!
The school year is coming to an end and the summer holidays are just around the corner. The new school year doesn't start until September, but we're not sitting around twiddling our thumbs.
Thanks to generous donations, we were able to buy pens, notebooks, rulers, pencil sharpeners and much more for the children for the new school year and distribute them free of charge. Many children drop out of school because they cannot afford such materials. We are therefore delighted that we were able to give the children new motivation and a desire to learn.
After a long and arduous journey through the bureaucratic jungle, we are now a registered association with our own PayPal account and bank account!
Tahina has bought food, candles and soap for Lafatra again!
There is no electricity at Lafatra's home, which is why Tahina bought candles so that Lafatra can study for school. In addition, his sponsorship provides him with rice, beans, oil, condensed milk and bread rolls. A village without any vegetables!
Daniela and Roselo live in the village of Fort Dauphin. In this village, people mainly eat rice with or without milk because the soil is too dry for growing vegetables. There are no vegetables available anywhere in the village. This village is just one example of the villages on the east coast. Daniela already has a sponsor and shares her money with her brother Roselo until he also finds a sponsor. As the family cannot afford a table, they eat on the floor.
