Our cafeteria
We run a lunch canteen for all students twice a week, except on public holidays or during the holidays. Fresh meals are cooked and eaten together, but there is a shortage of tables and chairs. One meal consists of meat with rice or vegetables, and the other consists of milk and cake.
Our reforestation project
Together with the children, we were able to plant various tree seedlings that are also medicinal plants. The children have to take care of the seedlings, thereby learning responsibility and how to care for plants. The children whose seedlings survive receive additional rewards. Through this project, the children learn to appreciate their environment, can use the medicinal plants and improve the jungle and biodiversity.
After a lot of hard work, we can now officially open our library. With 40 children's and young adult books, seating and a quiet atmosphere, the children can read and learn together. This gives them the opportunity to practise reading and writing outside of school.
Teacher training
We help both children and teachers through our training programmes. Qualified teachers from Tana show the teachers at our school how to teach most effectively and better support the children.
